Pollards Invest Further for the future
Pollards announces further investment to boost the Exeter printer's proactive approach to meeting customer needs.
Pollards' Production Centre houses a wide range of hardware and software to fulfil virtually any requirement. Existing equipment includes digital Nexpress printers, litho machines up to B2, the associated finishing equipment, plus a full direct mail line.
The most recent purchases include a Heidelberg Stitchmaster and an additional Stahl folder. This new finishing equipment helps Pollards to respond to market requirements with a broad range of applications. In addition, the company has installed a new Duplo/Nordson DPB-500 PUR (polyurethane glue) binder. The device is essential if you want to permanently bind digital output. It produces a strong, “perfect bound” finish for a range of applications such as text books, annual reports, and instruction manuals.
Managing Director Dennis Mason comments:
“Pollards has been investing in the future of the business since the very beginning in 1781. Our heritage proves our ability to deliver and, more importantly, to actually be here, consistently and discretely supporting customers through numerous economic crises including wars, shortages and recessions.
Innovation has been our watchword. Pollards grew out of the energy of what became the first industrial revolution in this country and we have prospered in an industry that has always been in the forefront of dynamic and technological change.”
